FREE TUNISIAN CROCHET-KNIT PATTERN - Kitchen/Dining Placemats

TUNISIAN CROCHET-KNIT PLACEMATS
designed and created by Janet Marie Marston-McGregor
posted on 10/21/2011

Looks like it will take 2 skeins per placemat (3-oz skeins)

Using Tunisian Crochet-Knit - very easy and works up fast with the big “L”
The reason I start off with K is because the Tunisian stitch is much tighter than regular Crochet - I like to start off with at least one row of SC, helps to keep from curling - will also use the K to make border
____________________________________

with “K” hook, CH41; SC across; CH1, turn (approx 12-inches wide);
switch to “L”; TC till desired length; switch to “K”; CH1; SC across (approx 15-inches long);
TRIM = HDC around 3 rows; bind off; add fringe on the 2 ends

Please do not sell this pattern - you may use it (and sell what you make), share it, and link back to this site. Enjoy!

  1. I found your pattern in Ravelry and just started the project. I will post a picture and link it to this site upon completion. I will be making it with different tunisian stitches later on and will post those too. Thank you.
